The Book of Enoch is an ancient Jewish text that claims to reveal the secrets of the heavenly realm and the origin of the fallen angels. According to this book, Enoch was a righteous man who was taken by God to heaven and shown many mysteries and wonders. He also wrote down everything he saw and heard in books.

Some ufologist have interpreted Enoch’s depiction of being taken up into heaven by an angel as an alien abduction. They suggest that Enoch was trying to describe the advanced technology and culture of the extraterrestrial beings who shared their knowledge with him. They also point out that Enoch’s description of the fiery chariot, the fiery horses, and the walls, swords, and wheels in heaven could be interpreted as spacecraft, engines, and other devices.

Another story in the Book of Enoch involves renegade angels who mated with human women and taught them forbidden knowledge, such as astronomy, metallurgy, magic, and medicine. These angels were called the Watchers, and they produced a race of giants called the Nephilim. Some UFOlogists hypothesize that these "angels" were actually extraterrestrial beings attempting to create a hybrid race of human/alien beings. They also speculate that Noah, the son of Lamech and the grandson of Enoch, was the result of alien genetic engineering. They base this on Lamech's description of Noah as having white skin, white hair, and glowing eyes.

Ancient Sumer

There is some evidence that the watchers in the story of Enoch may have been inspired by the Apkallu, a group of seven sages created by the god Enki in Sumerian mythology. The Apkallu were sent by Enki to teach humans various arts and sciences, such as astronomy, metallurgy, magic, and medicine. However, some of them also corrupted humans with forbidden knowledge and intermarried with them, producing hybrid offspring. The Apkallu were often depicted as fish-man hybrids, sometimes with bird heads. They were also called the Watchers, the Grigori, or the Irin in different sources. Some scholars have suggested that the Apkallu may have been the original Watchers who were later adopted into Jewish and Christian traditions.

- The second heaven: is where the fallen angels who sinned with human women are kept. They are tortured by fire and worms until the day of judgment. Enoch sees them crying and begging for mercy, but he is told that they will not be forgiven.

- The third heaven: is where the Garden of Eden and the Tree of Life are located. It is a paradise full of fragrant flowers, fruits, and birds. Enoch also sees righteous people who died before the flood, such as Abel and Seth, living in peace and joy.

- The fourth heaven; is where the sun, moon, and stars are located. They are controlled by angels who regulate their movements and seasons. Enoch sees how the sun and moon change their size and brightness according to God's command.

- The fifth heaven: is where the archangels and the heavenly hosts are located. They praise and worship God day and night. Enoch also sees some of the fallen angels who rebelled with Satan, but did not sin with human women. They are called the Grigori or the Watchers, and they are silent and sorrowful, waiting for their judgment.

- The sixth heave: is where the seven angels who stand before God's throne are located. They are called the archistrategoi or the chief commanders, and they have authority over all the other angels. They are also in charge of the heavenly records and books. Enoch sees them shining like fire and singing hymns to God.

- The seventh heaven: is where God's throne is located. It is surrounded by cherubim, seraphim, ophanim, and other angelic beings who serve God. It is also where the heavenly temple and altar are located. Enoch sees God's glory and majesty, but he does not see his face or form.

- The eighth heaven: is called Muzaloth or the Zodiac. It is where the fixed stars and constellations are located. They are governed by twelve angels who correspond to the twelve signs of the zodiac. Enoch sees how they influence the fate and destiny of humans and nations.

- The ninth heaven: is called Kukhavim or the Heavens. It is where the heavenly bodies that are visible to humans are located, such as planets, comets, meteors, and galaxies. They are also governed by angels who report their activities to God.

- The tenth heaven: is called Aravoth or the Highest Heaven. It is where God's dwelling place is located, beyond all creation. It is inaccessible to any creature, except for Enoch, who is taken there by God himself. Enoch sees God's face and hears his voice, but he cannot describe what he sees or hears.
